*Caution: Super-long post with loads of visual materials

As described in my previous post, went to midvalley today with viv. Had pharm chem quiz from 9-10am. Took a taxi to Klang KTM station. That's when the journey and fun starts. Enjoy, i'll let the photos tell the story.

The Journey:
On Arrival

The Wait:

0 mins:

10 mins:

30 mins:

Things to do when you're bored [or travelling in a 20kph KTM]

1) Compare footwear

2) Why of course! Cam-Whore!

The Uneventful Lunch:
Had value meal 3: The Beef @ Yoshinoya.
Viv chose the window seat/stool/bar. Spent the hour chatting, watching ppl walking by and counting the ppl who stare at us. FUN. :P

The Pool/Exercise Session:
Stretch those muscles baby~

The Shopping List:

Ying Loo's present [haha, the only thing i bought. budget? yes! success!]

The Cam-Whoring/Fitting Session
I guess the title says it all. [but we ended up buying nothing despite the great sale going on in all three dorothy perkins, miss selfridge and topshop. bad for the girl, good for the pocket]

viv looks fab in this pic

must really practice my camera smile :(

As viv would put it, 'lan yao yeng' :P

The dinner:
Had dinner at our usual spot: Penang Cafe [could be street.. shop... ?]
Also had my usual char koay teow and soya cincau which combined cost RM12.50! [in usual hawker i doubt it would even pass the RM5 mark]

it all started with this plate of innocent char koay teow in penang cafe...

*sniff*

hehe, custom yhwee's stamp of approval

hmmm... yummy

oh no!!!! looks like something has possesed viv!!!

ahhh!!! prawns! my prreeeeeccccioooousssssss

whatcha still staring at my prawns for??!!!

According to viv, she found a 'grape' in her ais kacang. [fyi: it was an atap chi]

The aftermaths:
As usual, the KTM service was so 'punctual'...

haha, i kinda look like a homeless person in this pic :P

viv looks so stoned :P

feeling slightly better now... spirits are a lil' uplifted. all thanks to viv. if u've been reading my blog, u'd have read about my botched mission. so the ever so kind miss choo agreed to teman me to midvalley to get it back. after much calculations, [with viv insisting she shares the cost of transport] decided that it'd be worth it to go. that's if the guy lets me collect it lar.. and one thing: must tie myself up so i dun buy anything else.

having pharm chem quiz on mon from 9-10am. should be there by latest 12pm. first thing to do would be to pick the cable up. and keep my fingers crossed that i do not pull anymore stupid stunts. promised to 'chia' viv a game of pool. which would be very fun [cept' for the second-hand smoke] and i haven't much time with viv recently. really miss her sompany. before i start getting teary-eyed or the contents get too explicit, i better go. and pray that viv doesn't read my blog.

that's it then. good nite.
good news:

classes finished at 11++ yesterday. terus pecut home with maarish. the reason? we're going to midvalley. what for? aiyo... shoppin' lar :P so, we balik rumah.. did boring stuff eg: shower lar.. pack lar...

siew kim was kind enough to send us to kelana lrt stop [saved us RM10+ :)] we took a train to kl sentral, and went to a north indian restaurant somewhere in brickfields for lunch. good lunch. on the way, we bought 5 pairs of earrings each for only RM 10. now this is what i call a bargain :P

p.s: the guitar picks are not to be confused as earrings

maarish 'broadened' my horizons by taking me to 'indian street'. went to bombay point, an accessories shop... my gosh... there were bangles, necklaces, anklets, rings etc. from almost the ceiling to the floor. was spoilt for choice. end up, i bought these 2 really cool sets of bangles [green and pink] and henna dye. then, we headed over to the tailor to get maarish's saree done. it was interesting to see that even they have a saree catalogue. maarish chose this really low-cut design [hint*] after some measurements saking, it was starting to drizzle. we ran for a taxi. unfortunately, we got caught in the rain as we were walking into midvalley.

we'd booked tickets to MI:3 [which was fantastic by the way. and tom cruise restored my faith in him despite him craddle-snatching choice in women] so off we went to pick it up.

tickets? check! hehe.. this is where the fun starts. s-h-o-p-p-i-n-g :)
i managed to stay within my budget [RM 140], and i'm glad to annouced that this is the first time i spent less than RM 200 in zara. i only bought a shirt for RM49.90.

all in all, this was what i bought:
5 pairs of earrings ---------- RM 10
[sumi, think u wanna shop with me now? :P]
2 guitar picks -------------- RM 3
zara t-shirt ---------------- RM 49.90
dorothy-perkins tube ----- RM 33
viv and boon ying's pressies ---- price undisclosed

we met up with ivan, mun kit, daniel, T.J., keth-lyn, li xin and dat boon for drinks [or shall i say yum-cha] in hartamas. mk/ivan said to meet at hartamas square.. haha, maarish and i were dismayed... luckily the confusion was cleared up. we popped over to soul'd out instead. a couple of cocktails and martinis and let's not forget the much-coveted flaming lamborghini [plus, the bullying of a junior and still a minor i think] and minor 'incidents' [hint* maarish] we went home happy.

reached home at about 1++ am... not tired suprisingly... showered.. read... dreamnt.. dozed off.

bad news:

was supposed to help siao ek to buy network cables. i remembered, the guy took bloody long to fix it [it's length was customized] so went up to get a drink. stupidly paid the guy in full [lesson learnt mum... i shouldn't pay first] told him i'd be back in a sec to collect it. maarish and i went to get bubble. but somehow, after quenching my thirst.. i totally forgotten bout the cables.... i mean WTF!!! i even walked past IT world... i seriously feel like kicking myself. even worse, i discovered this forgotten fact when i was in ivan's car. my 1st impulse was to open the door and throw myself out of the car. *sob*

was trying so hard to keep within my budget.. now i burnt RM 40 just like that.. think of the shirt i could have bought...

anyway, sorry for the extra long post, was in desperate need of a rant-session. and i do apologise for the lack of photos recently.

conclusion:

an exhausting but really fun day sans the cable part.

oh ya.. .i've a dr.wong's pharm chem quiz on monday. damn. life sucks.

this pic is khas for leo. since she say we seldom take pics together :)

meet the action stars of tomorrow!

goh yong chen vs shawn goh
[nope, he's not my bro, but more like an occasional bro, my real bro's 5]

this is my real bro. ain't he cute? he and my dad havin a round of games in the mosquito-filled rotunda club.

as u all know, studies have shown many sleeping positions. here are some of them illustrated:

1) the back-flip

2) the stick

3) the peddler

4) the kuli
[similar to the peddler cept' for the head position]

5) the foetus
[usually includes thumb-sucking]

since this is revised version, newer, and more extreme postions have been observed:

6) the well-balanced-sleeper

7) the ultraman
[usually occurs after intensive action movie marathon]

and yeah, the plain weird:

8) the zoo-keeper

9) i'm... loss.... for... words.....

models courtesy of mr & mrs. goh ser heng

my dad concluded that on his trip to rome, the margeurita [just plain cheese and tomato toppings] pizza was the best. i present to you, the replicate:

and with that, i leave you with one word:
perfecto~

second on the chef's menu's the very appetizing pesto/aubergine ala linguine. although i must say that i didn't really agree with the parma ham. [reminded me of the bacon treats i tempt my dogs with :P]

hehe, dad's pepsi in a glass

the very highly additive olive oil + balsamic vinegar eaten with focaccia bread.

well, my conclusion:
if i were to live in any parts of italy where cheese, tomatoes and olive oil can be found for let's just say a week, i'd think i be double my size. seriously.

oh yes, i almost forgotten the chef's potrait:

tips: if u find it too complicated or confusing in the photo album section, click on the slideshow, u'd be redirected to the mainpage for easier viewing. till then, love ya guys! muaks and good night!!

aubergine and cheese.... one word: yum~
there was linguine with pesto sauce and parma ham.. but unfortunately, the stupid internet thought it was too delicious to be posted online and banned me from uploading it. sorry peeps, 'll try to do so tomorrow. orders can be placed now and collected when my dad retires and [i beg him to ] opens a shop :)

[shynn + me]

what's an outing with a sesion of cam-whoring

[leo + shynn]

it was sean sr.'s bday on fri, so we surprised him in the conference hall. haha, but there was a bigger shock awaitin'. i guess u can say that several of the 'shock-ers' became 'shock-ees' too. to find out why, look below :)

but sean yang sangat sporting-nya, put on the 'sexy' thong and graced us with a 'performance'.
[sorry-lah, but i'm trying to keep my page clean for my lil' sis to view, so i apologize for the lack of visual material :P

it was the day of the pinkies~

a shot of my friends and i :)
