my camera just came back from a long vacation in Rome, Italy. Nope, it wasm't me, it was my parents trip :( dad's charger kaput so he brought mine for the ride instead. lucky lucky camera! :P in the 2 weeks i was cameraless, i realised just how much i use my camera. A LOT! there's not a single moment i dun instinctly reach for my pouch...

as u can see on the left, that's the 1st photo i took since i got it back. and yeah, looks familiar? well, it's my blog's new look. i kinda get what my cousin jo was saying, it is kinda freaky at first glance.

well, it's week 8 of my semester 3. lots of stuff to do and pass up [as usual, it's work that was supposed to be completed during the hols.. but as usual lar~] the week seems to be passing by real fast.. in a way that's good cos i can go home and have some of my dad's newly improved italian pizza. yum? yup! yum~ :P

there! i'll leave you to salivate for a sec until i blog again later. ciao peeps~`

You Are 50% Weird

Normal enough to know that you're weird...
But too damn weird to do anything about it!
How Weird Are You?

yeah, i kinda always knew i was too 'unique' to be termed normal :P
You Are a Normal Girl

You are 50% Good and 50% Bad
Sure you've pulled some bad girl stunts in your past.
But these days, you're (mostly) a good girl.
Are You a Good Girl or a Bad Girl?

saw the post on shi en's page, decided i was getting nowhere with my work... so ta-da!! now u can get to know me better :)
People Envy Your Ingenuity

You're a person with unique ideas, big plans, and a zany outlook on life. Many people look to you for inspiration.
People envy your creativity and "who cares?" attitude. They feel very ordinary next to you - and they usually are!
You Have Low Self Esteem 56% of the Time

While you sometimes feel good about yourself, you tend to struggle a little with self esteem issues.
It's not about changing who you are, it's about accepting your faults. You just need to be less critical and demanding of yourself!
Your True Love Is a Scorpio

Why you'll love a Scorpio:

Strong and sexy, Scorpio will overpower you into falling in love (before you even realize it!).
You'll love being swept away by Scorpio - into a world of insane passion.

Why a Scorpio will love you:

You don't mind letting your Scorpio take the reigns, as long as you know you're truly cared for.
Loyal and devoted, you would never do anything to set off insanely jealous Scorpio.

whenever i meet an OC fan, i'd tell them not to talk about season 3. [hint: ryan and marissa's my fav couple, dun worry, seth and summer's is just a nanometer behind them]

the thing is, i only find out they are fans when they start talking about the most current episode [which i'll not even mention here] and i usually this is the cue for me to start covering my ears and also to shake my head and practically shout 'STOP"!!!! that's why lar... i decided to post this short and sweet(?) notice for those who don't already know. it goes something like this:

I, Goh Yong Hwee hereby ban all talks of The O.C. season 3 until further notice. I will only watch and discuss the show only when Ryan and Marissa are together once again [remember to tell me k leonie? i know sure they 'll get back together. rite?! *opens eyes in poor puppy fashion*]

p.s: and whoever that even dares mention Ryan and S**** or Marissa and V******.... *yhwee cracks knuckles* :P
looks like an average 19+ year old human girl only needs about 5 hours of sleep daily. i was up at 8.40am , had a shower, hopped into the car and sent my bro off to kinddie. feeling kinda hungry at the moment, but the food at home is just not tempting.

so, the question is... what do i plan to do for the rest of this B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L day.
this is what i 'plan' to accomplish:

10.00 am ---> breakfast
10.45 am ---> study physio
11.30 am ---> pick bro up
11.45 am ---> do homework with bro
1.00 pm ---> lunch
2.00 pm ---> study physio
4.00 pm ---> pick sis from sch tuition
5.30 pm ---> send sis off to ballet class
** in between ---> probably pack
6.30 pm ---> send other sis to ballet while picking up the other
7.30 pm ---> dinner
8.15 pm ---> study physio
8.45 pm ---> pick up mum's teaching assistant
9.45 pm ---> pharm chem lab report
11.00 pm ---> pack
1.00 am ---> sleep

* bro's only 5 yr old in case you're wondering
* ballet class is all the way in malim... i've to make 3 trips
*can't stand mum's teaching assistant [when i've enough space to write about her, i'll write an essay about why]

so, looks pretty neat huh? yup, sure does

this is most prob what i'll end up doin today

9.45 am ---> breakfast/blog
10.45 am ---> pack
11.30 am ---> pick bro
12.00 pm ---> continue packing
1.00 pm ---> lunch
2.00 pm ---> read the magazine i bought yesterday
3.00 pm ---> sleep/pack
4.00 pm ---> pick sis
4.45 pm ---> might actually pick up physio book
5.30 pm ---> send sis
**
6.30 pm ---> send other sis
7.30 pm ---> dinner/read/watch tv
8.30 pm ---> only about 15 mins to study physio
9.45 pm ---> physically 'conk' out on my bed

there, i see i still manage to complete quite a lot :P
yeah, wish me luck ppl... 'll need all the help i can get :(

to show how 'bersemangat' i'm, i'll have my breakfast now. cheers~

a 'new' beginning?!

so, what do u all think? like the new look? took me long enough to finally edit the original skin [yeah, a lil retarded when it comes to stuff like this]

i kinda miss my previous skin, it's layout was simpler and more user-friendly. but can't complain, the eye's pretty cool huh? if only mine were as big... gosh, i'd be in peepers heaven.

anyway, it's close to 3am, gotta catch up on some sleep cos had an early start today... 'll post my activities 10 hours later alrite?

till then

Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else

Judy Garland
Singer-Actress

To realize the value of one year,
ask a student who failed his or her semester exams

To realize the value of one month,
ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby

To realize the value of one week,
ask an editor of a weekly magazine

To realize the value of one day,
ask daily wage labourer who has six kids to feed

To realize the value of one hour,
ask the lovers who are waiting to meet

To realize the value of one minute,
ask a person who missed their train

To realize the value of one second,
ask a person who survived an accident

To realize the value of one millisecond,
ask the person who won a silver medal in the olympics

readapted and revised

there! some thoughts to ponder on during the night...

Matthew 7:1
Do not judge, or you too will be judge

i think the sentence speaks for itself... many times i've judged people based on 1st impressions... but i realised that the true essence of a person can only be aquired over time.

leo and i were kepoh-ing [hehe, it was more on my part actually :P] and saw a blog that featured the author's current reading and listening list.. and hey... apa lagi? plagiarise lar :)

so.. since this is my first 'list'... gonna list out the song i can't seem to get out of my head and also the book that keeps haunting my mind.. and yeah a few extras too if u care to read :P

i know i read this book a while back, but i can truly say this is one book that really messes with your mind. haha, hence the genre: pychological thriller. it's the story of 4 women working in a lunch box factory set in modern japan. the book showcases the dreary and unfortunate fate of these women and the story starts when one of them kills her useless-gambling-cheating husband. aha~ what does she do with her body? one word: YUCK

weezer represents what many of us feel at the bottom of our life. low self esteem, being cheated on, the social outcast/loser... it's a classic. my fav song at the moment ---> perfect situation
a line from the song:
get your hand off the girl
can't you see she belongs to me
and i don't appreciate this excess company
though i can't satisfy all the need she has
so she starts to wonder... can you blame her?

well.. my personal opinion? Y-E-S

based on my lovely organiser, i'm supposed to be done with 2 pharm chem lab reports and ought to be studying for my physio quiz right this moment. but really?! not one of my reports are done, and i'm so far from opening my 'sherwood'.. ain't reality such a drag? aiks~ more like ain't yong hwee such a lazy ass? the answer to that question? YES!

but progress! i've actually wirtten this on my report:
Schedule 1
Acid-Base Titrations
Lecturer: Dr.Peter Hayball
Date of Experiment:

Abstract

hehe, progress!

yeah, today has got to be my suey-est day. 1st? i knocked my dad's car on a curb, then i break a chair, then i dropped my phone. then a pesky friend of my mum's [translation: ke-poh aunty/tai-tai] came over to the car and asked me some nonsensical question then she told another friend of my mum's about my 'personal' problem... so guess what? this second auntie [but at least i'm quite fond of this one] called me up to 'solve' my problem... by practicing her direct-selling skills... wah-liew! there should be a rule against ppl selling stuff to their friend's kids while their friends are off holidaying in rome. i mean what the hell is the kid supposed to do? if the kid does not agree... gosh... goodness know what 'll come out at their next tea party gathering.. u take? sigh... pocket kosong...

then my maternal stepmother [who' so scared of her own daughter] said: 'better dun buy anything, later ur mummy scold. wait for her to come back 1dt. i mean gosh woman! u're a grandmother! y r u so afraid?! tsk tsk *accompanied by shakin' of head*

so... she said i dun have to buy 1st, she just wants to 'help' me.... then... i told her.. ok lar, 'll pop by your place later.... wanna guess what the moral of the story is?! DUN PICK UP THE PHONE! :P

am home for the holidays now... as usual, wasted my precious sat & sun away... panicking a lil too cos discovered i hadn't kept up with my to-do/schedule list [but oh well, what else is new? :P] right now, i'm supposed to be finishing up my second pharm chem lab report... total ticks on my list? zero.... nada~ ai..... how i wish i didn't love my head so, then maybe i could get a hammer and give it a good lesson :P

fingers felt a bit itchy, so thought i let them have some exercise. [actually, my whole being needs an exercise, but let's just say 'que sera... sera' alrite?!

met up with shynn and leonie on friday.. miss sunrise and miss mocha paid a long-dued visit to their club @ coffee bean. didn't stay for long though, only a couple of minutes to grab 3 royal chocolate cake [pls remind me never to buy this... so sweet!!!! gosh, am i growing old? i used to be such a sweet-toother!!!!] went over to our other club @ 240 but it was CLOSED!!!!! argghhhhhhhhhhhhh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ we practically cried our mascaras off-ed cos it has never let us down before!!!! it was always there for us whenever we needed a creamy teh-ais or a plate of so--------------fattening and yummy maggi goreng.... so we headed over to sri rama-ram...

thought about what i wanted to eat for a very long time... decided to have roti sardin telur.... the 3 of us yakked away.... among the random topics that came up were: gayism, lesbianism, death, rape, pondans, spit..... haha, gotcha! pls-lah... we're were sophisicated ppl.. oh wait... with a splah of childishness too :P *hint hint* leo :P

no candles so we didn't get to sing shynn's b'day song... just managed to stuff the whole cake into my stomach... *stuFFed* after that... my recollection of the night was fairly fuzzy... nothing much comes into my mind.. hey! did the slip a lil something into our overly sweet cakes?

i notice that i've exceeded a hundred words, and remember my earlier mention that i tend to go haywire when i go over 500 words? yeah, this is my cue to leave :P tata

Wednesday, March 29, 2006

whew~ can finally breathe a sigh of relief :P y? haha, cos the party i kinda planned has finally taken off and i guess i can safely say that most ppl had fun.. and guess what? the saying that 'giving is better than receiving' may actually have some ring of truth to it. as i was just standing at the sidelines, on the park bench, and just watch the scene in front of my eyes, i can truly say that i was overwhelmed by the feeling of total hapiness. hehe, the scene i meant was almost-adults guys/girls toting water gun and running after each other semi chicken who lost their heads or commando style [still can't decide] but the one move that brought a smile to my face was the sound of laughter coming from almost every corner of the park..... hmm.... since when did i become such an 'emo' person :P

anyway, really exhausted now... wanna crash out on my dear bed now. but before i officially log off, i wanna express some very sincere thank yous [haha, hope u guys are reading this]

without these ppl, the party would have been impossible, so give yourself a pat on the back [ actually, i could do it for ya tomorrow but i can't gurantee the force applied :P]

1) ju-lear [for all the yummy pizzas, satays and basically for helping out: you rock!!!!]
2) sher-ri [for the cake and the yummy jellies and of course your presence!!!]
3) wei jin + keth-lyn + li xin [hehe, without u guys chauffering the cake/food buyers, the party wouldn't have been a birthday party]
4) poh lee + siao ek [thanks for all your fries-fryin' efforts, the next mamak trip' on me k?]
5) any [without you, ppl'd have to sit on the grass and eat on the ground]
6) hui khoon, hui li, big sean, gavin, kent, soon yew, wen xian, william, gerald, small sean whoever i missed out, fear not, ur help was deeply appreciated
7) maarish for all the hours i probably drove you mad
8) the rest of the gang, thanks for comin, your attendance meant a lot to everyone :P
9) haha, and lastly, the 3 birthday ppl, thanks for being so vunerable(?)/gulible(?)/sporting(?)/innocent(?) so we could all surprise you guys

and before this starts to sound like an acceptance speech, i hope you all enjoyed yourselves! i know i certainly did!!!! muaks ppl~ and pharmacy 2005 rocks!!!!!
