It was our first trip s a 'gang' to venture beyond malacca. Previous meetings were held in Cahaya Dinar back in our hometown Malacca. In the beginning, there were 20 'members' expected... sadly, only 8 made it. Although it was brief, spending 1 night there, it was fantastic. Hehe, i don't know whether anyone agrees with me, but squeezing 8 people into 1 room probably upped our 'bonding' session :P

just for the record, this is my longest post ever, with photos totalling more than 50. Therefore, i shall cut down on my words and keep everything brief. Grab some junk-food, drinks and whatever you might need, cos trust me, this 'll take a while :P

CHEERS~

btw, 240 rocks!!!! and pras, we'll miss you! 6 years is a long time! pls come back for a visit! and all the best !

p.s: i expect lots of business from you when u get back and also a discount when the need arises, doctor :)

ever wondered how often do we lie to ourselves? or others? one minute you'd be saying something and 5 minutes later or it could be at the same time but to another person you'd be saying something else. perhaps you may not understand what i'm trying to say here.. i just wanted to make a few things known and clear.

1) back-stabbing's the nature of life. doesn't matter if you're all friends..
2) you're responsible for your own life and therefore, you're responsible for the choices you make too. blaming others do not help.. it may make you feel better at the moment.. but it'll eat away at you slowly...
3) friendships do last, it's just whether you're prepared to make the necessary sacrifices...
4) you call yourself a friend, but where were you when those you call your 'friends' were sidetracked? let me tell you where you were... you were right there.. in the middle of it.
5) nobody's perfect... especially me. i've done so many things i'm not proud of, but i know forgiveness is important
6) you talk of broken friendships, if you really care so much about your friend's well-being, why not glue back the pieces instead of trying to 'break' them up into smaller groups?

you know who you're...

Tau Foo Fah

Finally!!! As i held the tupperware full of tau foo fah.... i was in sheer heaven [ok, that might be stretching it a lil' :)]

I was never really a big fan of tau foo fah before this. If i happen to see it during pasar malam and am in the mood for a bowl, i'd go for it. Never have i craved for it so badly before! i even discuss the possibility of me being pregnant with maarish.

Anyway, i think i've sorted out the reason behind my sudden craving... in this particular post by Jolene

Some sample pics taken from Jolene's blog:

Ah... mine :)
got mine from esquire kitchen for RM 2.53!!! if it were in a hawker center, i'd be at my 2nd and a half bowl! :(

Fate...

Do you believe in a thing called fate? Most of the time i don't, but sometimes fate's deeds are just so hard to ignore. Which makes me question whether there's indeed a higher power moving about events of our life like chess pieces.

May was coming up to kl along with her mum on sat and sun. We've tried making plans 2 weeks in advance to meet up in 1 utama on sat.. which obviously did not happen. When that plan fizzled out, we didn't bother making new ones. I went ahead with any and poh lee on fri while jac went shopping with her mum. Tried making plans with jac for saturday which also amounted to nothing. Come sunday and i couldn't stand being couped up in the house alone anymore. I took a taxi, ktm with poh lee, and made plans to meet up with jac in subang and proceed on to mid valley, all in the name of buying pras's present.

guess who we met in mid valley?! yup, may pin :P ah, sometimes i just love FATE. Unless it starts messing with my studies and my dream guy :P

we asked for a refill before our food even arrived. pigs :P

jac's fish & chips

my catch of the day
- we were so hungry and it was halfway through before i realised i haven't taken a pic of what it looked like before i ate it :(

it's 11.20 in the morning and i'm so bored already. tried studying [the 1st time i've ever studied during the 1st week of class] , tried chatting, tried playing msn games with my sis [won 4-3 in tic-tac-toe.. but my sis's only 10] tried planning excursions to the outside world.. which have all failed miserably... let's check out what other options are available:

1) Do my laundry
2) Sweep/mop the floor
3) change my sheets
4) eat breakfast [a packet of milo and 3 pieces of chipsmore counts rite?]
5) folded my clothes
6) day-dream about the genting trip next week
7) revised microbiology

hmm.. i guess you'd be wondering what time i got up this morning since it's only 11.39am now. ;P

since i've got plenty of time to kill, i might as well fill you in on how the trip to 1 utama with any and poh lee went.

we left at about 3pm after class. any drove and i was the 'navigator'. prior to that, i got the directions from sheng yee [and the map was proof-read by ryan and andrew] we managed to get there in the end, just in time to collect our tickets for the 5.10pm pirates of the carribean 2 show. it was fab! better than the 1st even [eventhough big sean may not agree] it was quite long though, lasting slightly more than 2 and a half hour. btw, the huge winner was ms. any lee choy lan! she took the stores by storm yesterday, out-buying even the mentor herself [me lah :P] but i was so proud of myself. why?

1) any bought so many tops, 1 from plastic, 1 from forever 21, 1 from selfridges and one from zara!
2) i only bought 1[!!] shirt from plastic. i know i know, i still bought one. but if u review my previous shopping expenditures [especially in zara...] it's a huge improvement.

too bad we ran out of time.. till the last minute we were starting to blame the movie, saying it lasted too long [mostly on any's part] or that we should've separated the movie trip from the shopping trip :P

anyway, we couldn't get any dinner cos the shops were closing... we had dinner instead at a really nice place in klang called 'star pisces'. i had the fried pasta [yummy] and a pearl milk tea, any had a watermelon juice and fried sotong, poh lee had a 'winter box' and a lemon green tea :) there was a local acoustic band [consisting of a male guitarist/singer and a female singer/percusionist?] they were quite good, especially when they sang a more upbeat and 'poppy' version of lee hom's 'kiss goodbye'

was so tired when we reached home.. but i had so much fun! hehe, right now the 3 of us are planning our next 'adventure'.. hehe, it's a private joke :P

p.s: i left my shopping bag in any's car.. looks like i won't be wearing my new shirt on monday then

bye for now, i'm off to search for something to keep me from dying of boredom :(

despite my mum's on-going nagging of "stop playing with your food!' , i present to you.. my masterpiece :P

other artists hard at work

p.s: you do understand that i'm slightly bored and not too mention... mad? :)
i know jac's probably gonna kill me for doing this but sometimes i just can't help but wonder about the possibilities. :P

yuki's my bestest best friend's @ jac @ timon's pet shih-tzu. she's quite 'attractive' [especially after jac's given her a bath and a manicure] although sometimes i swear she can seem canivorous :P
i'm so totally in love with shepherd's pie! [technically, since it's beef it's cottage pie] and nic taught me how to make it. basically it's quite easy and convenient to make. and it tastes so good! now i know what they mean by 'comfort food'. anyway, i've made it once and everyone in my family loved it. so, thanks nic!

p.s: here's a pic of mine and yours. think urs looks more appetizing. [to be honest, mine kinda looks like a blob of something that comes out from... well i think u ought to be able to guess by now :P]

Original Recipe Homemade Shepherd's Pie ala Nicola Muffett style :P

during my trip in london, i bought these 'nicole richie' sunnies that i absolutely love but am a lil' apprehensive to wear while i'm in m'sia. why? one day, i wore them while i was driving around in melaka... and count this: 8 ppl stared at me!!! [i think they'd forgotten that i can still see them staring even if i've dark glasses on] one women even pointed at me... sigh... so, to make myself feel a lil better, i've found a couple of models to put them on and see how they look :)

so, what do you think? i reckon they look pretty good don't they? what the heck, i think they look perfect! :P

p.s: my dad was so un-sporting on that day. he refused to put them on :( btw, my sis in the 1st pic's trying out the 'amber chia' look :P
