*Happy Deepavali*

*i know i'm a day late... but here's my version of a Deepavali blog edition :P

*it was friday, the day before deepavali, aptly nicknamed the 'festival of lights'. maarish was due at her uncle's place sometime in the evening to do some celebrating.

*we visited klang's own little indian street, just slightly off the route to the ktm armed with our growling tummies.

as usual, me driving maarish up the wall with my constant photo-snapping

yi wen @ our designated driver for the day

the bustling indian street

the place to visit for lip-smacking, finger-licking banana leave rice.

**p.s: it's our 3rd trip here, and the 3rd time's definitely the charm, i finally remembered to bring along my trusty camera :)

*since it was deepavali the next day, we found ourselves in a sea of indians rushing about doing their last minute preparations. sort of like chinese new year, really :) yeah, we seem to be the only chinese there as usual

*it's so nice having different races and cultures of friends, it makes life much more interesting :)

nature's plate

filling up with the basic dishes

the black globs are actually the best tasting mutton i've tasted in a long time! the red coloured chicken's fantastic too!

yi wen's virgin experience in using her hands as utensils

the yellow thing is actually potato. and i can gurantee you they taste better than kfc's mash potatoes.

maarish the tour guide

my trusty thirst -quenching teh o' ais limau

the proper way to fold ur 'plate' [wait a minute... or was it the other way around?]

THE VERDICT

jury # 3

jury # 4

the colourful array of indian desserts just waiting to be sampled

after lunch, possesed by the indian spirit, the four of us decided to do some shopping: for an indian top :)

very cheap leh, only 10 bucks per top. yi wen's was more elaborate, but only costing 20 bucks.

yi wen looked so good in hers i even joked that she may have been an indian in her past life

poh lee and i

we felt so bad, clogging up the fitting rooms when there were other ppl who needed clothes more desperately than we do :(

hehe, the flowers in her hair looks so cool.. i want~

that's all for now i guess... my finals starts on the 30th and ends on the 6th. there may be some updates in between but short ones i guess.

happy studying to pharmacy cohort 7! it's our last sem here, we can do it!!
